Kamil Filipek is a Polish sociologist and data scientist. He is an assistant professor and the Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Modeling at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (UMCS). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical and Computational Modeling at the University of Warsaw. Since 2018, he has been actively involved in the development and application of artificial intelligence solutions, working as a data scientist for various companies and, since 2023, as the head of his own startup operating in the therapy-tech sector. He has participated in numerous national and international research projects involving the development or
application of AI-supported tools (e.g., DARIAH-PL, the European Social Survey). His research interests focus primarily on the social consequences of digitalization and automation processes. Methodologically, he employs a broad range of quantitative approaches, including AI-based methods, with particular emphasis on natural language processing (NLP).

He specializes in building modern organizations and managerial competencies in the era of artificial intelligence. He believes that technology should unlock human potential rather than replace it.

Founder of Lark Business Consulting, where he supports leaders in adapting to digital reality. His methodology is based on hard data—he is a researcher at the University of Łódź and a member of the Center for Research on Artificial Intelligence and Cybercommunication.

He also shares his expertise as a lecturer at RheinMain University in Germany. He has accumulated thousands of hours of workshop experience, confirmed by training and tutoring certifications.
